If you ever wondered what plugins I use on my WordPress blog, here are my top recommendations:

  1. Akismet – Comes with the standard installation of WordPress for eliminating comment spam! A real must.
  2. All In One SEO - allows you to create custom tags and permalink titles
  3. Audio Player – allows you to add audio to your blog posts.
  4. AYB Javascript in Posts – A plugin that allows javacript to be used in your WordPress post.
  5. Executable PHP Widget – A widget that allows PHP code to work in your sidebar.
  6. Google XML Sitemaps – automatically creates and submits your blog sitemap to Google.
  7. LightBox 2 – creates a lightbox effect on any linked images in your posts.
  8. Recent Comments – a widget that displays a list of your most recent comments added on your blog
  9. Recent Posts – a widget that displays a list of your most recent posts.
  10. Related Posts - displays a list of related posts at the end of each blog post
  11. SEO Friendly Images – automatically adds relevant tags or keywords to the “alt” tag of your blog images.

    Nice list, you may want to look at cformsII, it’s a cool plugin that allow you to customise form and create as many form as you want. A very nice plugin.

    Hey Brian,

    I’m very new at the blogging. in fact I just started my website and started blogging 2 weeks ago.

    The plug-in list is great. I use about a third of them now. But I’ll start looking into the rest of them–because I always follow successful people.

    Many thanks for the great list with plugins, i have some favourites to, including the all known “All IN SEO “and also the easy privacy policy and also SEO friendly images (got some great results with it)and lastly pretty links (great for cloacking) affiliate links…

    I see you use NetworkBlogs to post to facebook, there is also Wordbooker, not sure if there is much difference, NetworkBlogs may be better for some things. Here’s a couple others that certain people may find use for:
