Aweber is one of my favorite marketing tools. I really think that as far as autoresponders go, its the very best.

Ultimately, the most important thing about an autoresponder is deliverability. This is where Aweber really shines with 99.9% success rate each time.

However, of late, I have found that they have stepped up their game to add a lot more enhancements to their service. The new WebForm generator is really perfect. It saves me a lot of time and I no longer have to customize my autoresponder forms manually.

Take a look at this video to see this new powerful feature in action:

Remember to take advantage of the $1 trial offer and 30-day money back guarantee to really take this software for a good test drive. I’m sure you will find it well worth the investment!

I was working on one of my Adwords campaigns recently and a friend who was looking at my spreadsheet asked me why I bother with quote marks and brackets in my Adwords campaign.

So I’m sure there may be others asking the same question.
Here’s the quick answer:

Broad Match.
This is where a keyword phrase is written as is, for example: Organic Vegetables

This is the broadest of all the match types. This match type means that your Ad will potentially be shown to anyone searching for “Organic” and “Vegetables” in their search phrase.

Example, your ad may show up if someone searched for “Organic Chemistry” or “Zombie Vegetables”.

As you can see, this phrase can get your Ad a lot of impressions but the cllicks may be low as your Ad can be shown for searches that are not relevant.

Phrase Match.
This is where a keyword phrase is enclosed by quotation marks, for example: “Organic Vegetables”

This match type means your Ad will only be shown if the search phrase contains the words “Organic Vegetables” in that order.

So for example, your Ad may appear if someone searches for “How To Grow Organic Vegetables” or “Where To Buy Organic Vegetables”.

Exact Match.
This is the strictest match type. This is where your keyword phrase is enclosed by square brackets, for example: [Organic Vegetables]

This is the most specific of the three types. In this case, your Ad will only be shown if somebody searches for “Organic Vegetables” and with no other terms.

Negative Match
Also, its is very important to specify Negative Keywords in your Ad campaign. For example, if you are selling information about “Organic Vegetables” you may want to include the negative keyword “free” so that people searching for free stuff will not see or click on your Ad.

I’d like to share an update on a post I made over a year ago. Its about my on going saga of getting the word “Brian Wong” listed on Google’s search results for personal branding.

In my previous post, I talked about how I got the number one spot on Google and then lost it when I screwed up the SEO on my pages when I switched to WordPress and then got it back again after some tweaking. Hey, we all learn from mistakes right?

Now I’m happy to report that my efforts have paid off. Today, if you type in “Brian Wong” on Google, you will see that I have the top position and have become an “authority site” for the keyword “Brian Wong”. This means that, below the search results, you will see other “sub” pages that have been indexed by Google search engine robots.

Now if you can imagine, this is not an easy task. Just imagine how many “Brian Wong’s” there are in this world!!! It took a while to get it right and so I thought I’d share a few tips on how to do this.

Why Do You Want to Get On Google?
Are you kidding? Of course its important!

Now I know that this may seem like its not for everybody. If your success does not depend on your personal brand, you might prefer to be anonymous. Even so, I would still argue that it is in your best interest to try to control the content that shows up when your name or company is “Googled”. The sooner you do it, the greater likelihood you will control it before someone else does. You never know when you will actually want to use this.

For me, as a business entrepreneur, Internet marketer and where my business success depends on my reputation and on the results I deliver, I need to stand out positively. People need to find me, find my website, trust in me and the services I provide. This is a necessity.

Remember the scene in the movie “Wanted” staring James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie where the lead character Google’s his own name and nothing comes up? That symbolized the fact that he was completely unimportant.

Have you ever Googled your own name? What comes up? Who is Googling your name right now? Your clients? Your customers? Your employer and future employers?

Your value in the marketplace will be directly correlated by the search results you get on Google. If nothing shows up, the message is literally “you are not important enough to be listed on our search engine”. The sooner you get this, the sooner you will want to take action to claim your name before someone else does.

How Do You Rank High On Google’s Search Results?

Here are some selected tips for securing your online presence:

1. Secure your domain name.

Getting yourname.com is a important if you still can. It costs less than $10 a year to maintain the domain. For me, I had to purchase “brianwong.com” from a professional squatter. I paid $300 for it but its value to me is priceless. If your preferred dot com domain is taken, then you need to go for the secondary domains like “.name” or “.info” domains.

2. Secure your user name.
Go to every social network, social bookimarking website, video upload website, business networking site (
LinkedIn or Plaxo) and get your name registered. Even if you don’t intend to use it for now. Almost all of them will allow you to specify your website. Create a backlink back to your site from each of these sites.

3. On site SEO
On every webpage, use the “Title”, “Description”, “Content” and “Keyword” meta tags to display the exact information that you want. In my case, its says “Brian is a serial entrepreneur who is passionate in sharing his successes and lessons from his business ventures.”.

4. Create an “About Me” page

Make sure that the keyword (your name or company) appears in almost every page where relevant. Also, include your name on the footer of every page. e.g. Copyright 2009 <you name>

5. Create a Site Map

Now that your site is ready for indexing, create a site map and submit it to Google.

6. Use the “alt” tag in images
If you have images on your website, remember to use the “alt” tag and include your name in it.

7. Backlinks from Sites That Are Ranked on Google

Get other websites that are already ranked to link back to you. Here’s a simple example of how you can do this. You could provide a testimonial for a reputable product that is going to be promoted heavily. Ask for a link back to your website. Win-win because the product owner gets a verifiable testimonial and you get a valuable backlink.

8. Start a WordPress Blog
One of the easiest ways to get an effective online presence is to install a WordPress blog. You can create the onsite SEO tweaks above easily with the many free WordPress plugins and it makes it easy to submit your content to Google, blog directories and RSS directories. Here’s a link to a list of some of my favorite WordPress Plugins.

Finally, if you need more information about Search Engine Optimization, I recommend The SEO Book by Aron Wall. It’s the only book that I have on SEO. And that’s because it has everything you need to know about optimizing your website for search engines.

I recently discovered a great new PPC Research software that has since saved me $97 each month (cos it’s free). I use to subscribe to a keyword research service to get the PPC keywords of websites and exsiting PPC advertisers to run my Google Nemesis campaigns.

This new software allows me to download all the keywords that existing PPC advertisers are using right from the Google search results page. I can also use this software to get the destination URLs and to generate additional related keywords if I so choose.

I was so impressed by it, I made a video to show you:

The mass media nowadays will have you believe that the global economy is in a pretty bad place right now. They may sound very convincing when showing you evidence from “experts” and statistics of doom and gloom. If this makes you feel like stopping what you want to do, my advice is…turn off the TV.

It is at times like this that I am so grateful that I have studied the work of the masters like Bob Proctor over the last 2 years. From learning about the laws of life, I know that everything I need to create comes from within. If you want better results, reexamine the way you think, not at your environment or circumstances.

For me, I know that I have a choice as to whether I want to take in the negative and make that my reality or choose that which I desire and make that my reality. I choose the latter option.

Case in point, our first project as a publisher on Clickbank yielded fantastic results. Our Clickbank Gravity is now above 100 and growing. This means that our affiliates are making a great income promoting the product since we pay out 50% of the sales proceeds. You can check out our affiliate program here: http://www.the11forgottenlaws.com/affiliates

What’s the lesson here?

Create something that offers more value in use than the price you ask for in return. This is a lesson that I learned from the original SGR Program that I promoted as an affiliate.

Work on something that you believe in with a passion. Working on this project as the Affiliate Manage felt more like a hobby than a job. Since the principles taught by Bob Proctor has helped me so much in the past, it was ever so easy to work on sharing these same principles with others.

Master Mind. Wherever possible – work with partners that are better than you. To achieve something great, you need to work with others. There’s so much abundance in the world that if everyone in the world got everything their hearts desire, there will still be more than enough left to fill the world. So work with others and share the results.

Success really does begin in the mind first. I hope this idea helps you to have a great start to the new year!

Technorati Tags: gravity, affiliate program, clickbank

This week, I want to share with you my new methodology for profiting on my PPC campaigns. I can’t believe I’m giving this strategy away for free! It’s practically a license for printing money! :)

Firstly, let me show you the OLD way, I used to create a profitable Adwords campaign:

The first part of the process is finding the product, writing ads the get good click through rates and creating a landing page. Now the PAINFUL part is testing and optimizing these keywords, ads and landing pages. Often times, you have to be ready to lose quite a bit of money BEFORE finding the profitable combination.

I sometimes spend over $1,000 on each campaign before finding the winners if at all!!! I really HATE it when after all the research and testing and I don’t find the winners at all!!

NOT ANY MORE!

Now, with this new software, you can quickly and EASILY find highly profitable campaigns by getting the keywords, ads and landing pages BEFORE you even create your own campaign. This is the new model:

Here’s a video of what PPC Bully does:

Now, creating profitable campaigns for me has never been EASIER. Here’s how I do it step by step.

Step 1:

Go to Clickbank Marketplace and get the “Pitch Page” from the top selling products in each category.

Step 2:

Go to Google’s Free Keyword analyzer and enter the URL of these pitch pages. Google will show you a massive list of PPC keywords that are relevant for these advertisers.

Step 3:

Sign up for PPC Bully here. Its only $49 per month at the moment and you can try it risk free for 60 days at the moment. Once you enter the keywords, just wait for 5-10 days.

Step 4:

Under your PPC Bully reports, see which keywords are profitable!! There will be”$” signs next to the profitable ones. How do we know its profitable? Well, these advertisers would not be spending money on these keywords for more than a week if they are not making them money. Essentially, they have tested the keywords for me and I don’t need to spend my own money testing!!

Step 5:

Create your PROFITABLE Adwords campaign using ONLY the profitable keywords, profitable ads and landing pages. I normally use a review page template and a special online software to create the landing pages quickly with tracking.

Step 6:

Count your commissions rolling into your bank account!

And that’s all there is to it. Enjoy!

I just made a video for one my projects and it involved explaining how you should not believe that the economy is all bad just because the mass media is bombarding us with bad new. This is a period when the Law of Attraction is being inadvertently used to create more bad news.

So to try and create something positive to focus on, I showed a screenshot of my Clickbank account for the week.

I didn’t have a lot of time and ideas for a blog post this week so I thought “why not post it on my blog too”. So here it is…

I started promoting products on Clickbank less than two years ago. I was inspired to do so by Bob Proctor who told me that if you want to earn your annual income as your monthly income, you need to create “Multiple Sources of Income” or “MSIs” as he calls it.

Bob Proctor’s advice is gold. If you’ve not done so, go visit http://6minutesforsuccess.com to get into the “mindset” for success.

I’ve just started using Google’s Website Optimizer tool and I’m wondering why I never used it sooner. I guess I thought it was just too difficult to set up but it ended up being so easy. You just add a few pieces of code to each of your landing pages and your conversion page and Google takes care of the rest!

A/B testing is just so important for an affiliate marketer. I must admit, I sometimes run my business based on my gut feel of what the market wants and that is absolutely WRONG.

With Google Optimizer, I now let the market tell me what they like. For example, I’ve set up two landing pages to see which one has better conversion for sales for my PPC campaigns.
I just leave the test to run until the data tells me that one of the landing pages is significantly beating the other. (see screenshot below)

After that, I would toss out the loser and then create a new landing page and run a test again to try and “beat the control” as they say.

You can even test multiple items on your page at once such as the headline, images and call to action. If you are not using A/B testing on your sites yet, give Google Website Optimizer a try.

Just wanted to share a post that one of my new Adwords campaigns, despite several tweaks have resulted in over 700 clicks and zero sales so far. Yes, I know – very disappointing (and costly). All indications show that I should just abandon this one and move on. However, I have one more iteration to try before closing the case on this one and moving on with the rest. Will let the statistics tell me if I’m right or not.

Now the reason I posted this is that I don’t often see marketers post “bad news” on their sites. But really its just part of the business. Sometimes, I need to go through 5 bad campaigns before finding a real winner that easily makes up for all the bad test cases and much more.

So if you’ve ever tried and not succeeded in Internet marketing, just know that its quite normal and all the temporary set backs are actually blessing that leads to the ultimate fulfillment of your pre-determined goals. The main question is if you stick around long enough to see the fruits of the experience.

The important thing is that each campaign (good or bad) is a very valuable lesson. The kind of lessons you can’t buy or learn at any school or seminar. I think they call it “experience”.

Ok, back to the drawing board it is then…
